Who We Are
‘We ate well and cheaply and drank well and cheaply and slept well and warm together and loved each other.” - Ernest Hemingway
The Hemingway Home, a breathtaking retreat nestled on a tranquil hill in San Diego, was dreamt up and brought to life by the visionary couple, Andrew & Anna. Their inspiration for the home came from the modern architecture they encountered during their travels around Anna's native country of New Zealand. With the help of craftsman and friend Tom Woodham, they meticulously designed and built a space that embodies the essence of warmth, serenity, and adventure.
As avid travelers themselves, Andrew & Anna created the Hemingway Home as a place of respite and rejuvenation for fellow explorers seeking to eat well, drink well, sleep well, and love well. Hemingway's quote perfectly captures the spirit of their vision and serves as a reminder to cherish the simple yet profound joys of life.
Come experience the serenity of the Hemingway Home. We welcome you to eat well, drink well, sleep warm and well, and above all, love one another.
